Top 5 Tuesday is a weekely post created and hosted by the lovely Shannah at Bionic Book Worm. She’s an absolute sweetheart and her blog is amazing so make sure to check out her blog if you haven’t yet!
This week’s topic is Top 5 books on my current TBR that I’m excited about! These are going to be different from the ones on my November TBR, I’m showcasing some other books I’d love to get to as soon as possible.
Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper#1) by Kerri Maniscalco
This is the first book in a very popular historical, maybe paranormal-fantasy series. I’ve heard amazing things about the first two installments and about the romance specifically.
The cold weather makes me want to curl up with a darker book, and I’m suddenly in the mood for historical, which I never am, so this has been calling my name lately.
Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
This is a standalone fantasy, retelling of Snow White. If I’m honest, I’ve never really liked Snow White, I’ve never been into her storyline BUT, in this case, it has some feminist themes thrown into the story, AND a female-female relationship.
We all know I’ll read anything as long as it has f-f romance.
Truly Devious (Truly Devious #1) by Maureen Johnson
I am in a mystery-thriller mood. I mentioned it on my November TBR, I’m already planning on reading one this month but in case my need for this genre isn’t fulfilled with just one book, THIS is what I’ll grab next.
It’s YA instead of adult, and it’s also the first in a series, so that will make it feel a bit different from the thrillers I’ve been reading, but I’m just as excited to get to it.
The Beauty of the Moment by Tanaz Bhathena
To mix this up a bit I thought I’d throw a YA-contemporary story. I’m always down for a cute or hard-hitting contemporary novel and this is my most recent acquisition.
Lala from Booksandlala read this earlier on in the year and she really enjoyed it so I’m hoping I’ll love it too.
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
Again, with the mystery-thrillers. I’m just craving all of them okay?? Let me read in peace.
This was very popular when it first came out and I’ve read some impressive reviews that only praised this, which makes me even more keen to pick it up.
Have you guys read any of these? Do you recommend any? Are any of them on your TBR’s? Let me know!
Until next time,
